On April 22, 2013 millions of people all around the world will come together to honor, celebrate and protect the precious nature resource that makes up our earth.
In the Spring of 1970 Senator Gaylord Nelson created Earth Day as way to force matters pertaining to the care of the planet into the national limelight. It’s reported that 20 million Americans participated in the demonstration in states all across the country. The idea worked and in December of that same year, Congress authorized the creation of a new federal task force who were appointed to tackle the enormous environmental issues called the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
All these year’s later we’re still working towards a more earth-friendly, healthy conscience way of living. Some companies aid in this endeavor and some do not. We’re proud to be associated with Shaklee Corporation who does care about our planet. By investing in products made in harmony with nature, Shaklee strives to preserve the environment and it’s natural resources.
In 1960, Shaklee introduced a product called Basic H Concentrated Organic Cleaner. It was the first biodegradable all-purpose cleaner on the market. Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee did something to make a difference and that incredible product is still available today.
Today our continued use of Basic H helps establish the earth friendly legacy of Shaklee – we’re helping our environment and improving the world we live in. On April 22 we encourage you to participate in Earth Day events in your community and around the country to keep this important issue at the forefront of our national agendas.
